    Standard FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) - For General 3D Printing

     Our Printers (Print Volume):

    Prusa i3 MK3S+ (250mm x 210mm x 210mm)

    Creality Ender 5-Plus w/ 0.8mm nozzle* (350mm x 350mm x 400mm)

    Voron 2.4 w/ 0.4mm nozzle* (350mm*350mm*310mm)

    *Requires L3HSDC Approval

    Materials: PLA, PETG, others if provided (contact L3HSDC staff)

    SLA (Stereolithography)

    Our Printer (Print Volume):

          Elegoo Saturn 2 (8K resolution) (219mm x 123mm x 250mm)

    Formlabs Form 3L* (335mm x 200mm x 200mm) *Requires L3HSDC Approval

    Materials:

          Elegoo Resin Grey

          Other Color Resins are available but may need to be purchased. (contact L3HSDC staff)

    Formlabs General Clear Resin

    Formlabs Engineering Durable Resin

    Formlabs Tough 2000 Resin

    Other Formlabs Resins are available but may need to be purchased for use. Consult Formlabs Material Selector and contact L3HSDC staff for help selecting the right material.

    CFR (Continuous Fiber Reinforcement) - Requires L3HSDC Approval

    Markforged Mark II (320mm x 132mm x 154 mm)

    Materials: Onyx

  • Which material should you use?

     

    Standard FDM Printers

    PLA: Standard plastic used for general prints

    PETG: Slightly more durable & less stiff plastic, recommended for outdoor/structural parts

    ASA: Weatherproof plastic, susceptible to warping (not recommended for general prints)

    TPU: Flexible plastic (not recommended for general prints)

     

    Resin Printers 

          Elegoo Grey Resin: Regular resin, good for high-resolution prototyping and custom figures

     

    Form 3L - Requires L3HSDC Approval

    General Clear Resin: Regular resin, good for prototyping

    Engineering Durable Resin: Semi-flexible resin for parts requiring durability

    Tough 2000 Resin: Strong resin for parts requiring high stiffness

     

    Markforged Mark II - Requires L3HSDC Approval

    Onyx: Micro Carbon-fiber Filled Nylon

  • *NOTE*: PLEASE ensure your .stl file is exported correctly with proper dimensions

    Circular features may not print correctly (they will show as low-poly), so please check your files before uploading. L3HSDC staff may deny a print request or reach out after submission if a print cannot be completed as submitted.

  • "I understand that I am expected to check the tracking form in order to know when my print is ready for pickup, and that an email will be sent out when my print is complete. I understand that my print will be discarded if not picked up within 2 weeks after the part complete email is sent."
